Mr. Ogunyomi is an investment professional with over 15 years of experience in the energy/finance industry and is currently a Director at Juniper Capital (energy private equity firm). At Juniper, Mr. Ogunyomi is responsible for sourcing investment opportunities, technical/commercial analysis, due diligence, structuring/ negotiations and on-going portfolio management. Mr. Ogunyomi also serves on the boards of a couple Juniper sponsored upstream portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Juniper, Mr. Ogunyomi was a Vice President for mergers, acquisitions and divestitures within the energy investment banking group at Evercore. While at Evercore, Mr. Ogunyomi was involved in leading and executing over $5B of sell-side and buy-side advisory deals, capital raises and restructuring for upstream and midstream energy companies.
Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Ogunyomi worked in various leadership, A&D, exploration, asset development and operational roles within several unconventional and conventional assets at Anadarko Petroleum, Marathon Oil and Chesapeake Energy. While working in the E&P sector, Mr. Ogunyomi primarily worked as a Technical Team Lead, Geologist/Petrophysicist but also cross trained in petroleum economics, drilling and reservoir engineering.
Mr. Ogunyomi holds a BS in Geoscience from Southeast Missouri State University, a M.S in Petroleum Geology from Oklahoma State University and an M.B.A with an emphasis in Finance and Energy from University of Oklahoma.
